World of Warcraft: Forever is currently in beta. This wiki is being updated regularly as new information becomes available, and details may change before launch. You can help by submitting edits and corrections as you discover them in-game.
World of Warcraft Forever Beta
The beta is currently scheduled for September 17 – October 21, 2026.
World of Warcraft: Forever entered public beta testing on September 17, 2026, running through October 21st. The beta is available on PC only.
How to Get Beta Access
There are two routes into the beta: a free entry with no guarantee, and a guaranteed route tied to a specific purchase.
Option 1: Free Opt-In (Not Guaranteed)
- Visit the official World of Warcraft: Forever website.
- Click Beta Opt-in in the top-right corner.
- Click Request Beta Access on the following screen.
- Log in with the Battle.net account linked to your active WoW subscription (or create one).
- Read and agree to the beta test terms.
Selection is random and sent out in waves based on hardware testing needs and server capacity — there is no guaranteed timeline for an invite. If selected, Blizzard sends a confirmation email to the address tied to your Battle.net account.
Option 2: Guaranteed Access via Pre-Purchase
Pre-purchasing either of the following upgrade editions grants instant, guaranteed beta access rather than entering the random opt-in pool:
| Edition | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Skyborne Epic Pack | Guaranteed beta access, 30 days game time, Skyborne race access, early name reservation, 3 launch invite codes | |
| Warcraft Forever Collection | Everything in the Epic Pack, plus additional bonuses |
Option 3: Regional Promotions
McDonald's Australia (MyMacca's Rewards) McDonald's Australia ran a promotion offering beta keys through the MyMacca's rewards app, available to Australian users only. No active WoW subscription or game time was required to redeem — only a Battle.net account (free to create).
The Skyborne Heroic Pack does not include beta access — it only unlocks the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starting zone once the game fully launches on November 4. If beta access specifically is what you want, you need the Epic Pack or Collection tier.
Checking Whether You Have Access
- Open the Battle.net desktop app.
- Go to Games.
- Click World of Warcraft: Classic.
- Check the game-version dropdown for a Forever Beta entry — if it's there, you have access.
