The Skyborne are a new playable race introduced in World of Warcraft: Forever — the first race built entirely new for the game rather than adapted from an existing one. Skyborne characters choose to align with either the Alliance or the Horde at creation, with each choice unlocking a distinct sub-branch, racial ability, and slightly different class list.

Overview

The two Skyborne branches are:

• High Order (Alliance) — leans toward arcane, ley-line-based magic
• Windshaper (Horde) — leans toward elemental and storm-based traditions

Both branches share three racial abilities and gain one exclusive fourth racial based on their faction choice.

Skyborne Druids have distinct sky-blue forms (Bear, Cat, Travel, and Moonkin) not shared with other Druid races.

Starting experience

Skyborne characters of both factions begin in Zephras Isle, one of the new zones added for Forever.
